A Book of Condolences for the Families of the Oak Creek Shootings

WSO Editor's picture

As we are all aware, the incidents of Oak Creek almost two weeks ago have been painful for everyone around the world. As a result, the World Sikh Organization is setting up a channel to collect condolence messages which will be delivered to the families of the victims, as well as to the heroic police officer who risked his life and saved countless lives. If you would like to leave messages of condolences and hope and love for the families, you can do so here: http://www.worldsikh.ca/contact

Instructions:

In the Subject line, please put: "condolences to the families". Leave your heartwarming and uplifting messages of compassion to share your love and respects with the families. Let us all come together at this time to help them heal, and help them understand that their pain is shared by countless other people. A book will then be created to house the messages, and will be delivered to the families in person by a member of the World Sikh Organization.

Please tell anyone and everyone you know about this. This is a global initiative not limited to those of any one ethnicity or faith background. Share on Facebook, send emails, and spread the word to your families, friends, and colleagues. The goal is to deliver 1,000 messages. We'll leave one book with every family, and one book at the Gurdwara.

If anyone would like to contribute any photography, art, or anything that could also go into a book of this nature, let us know using the same contact form. We will stop accepting messages on Sunday, August 19th, 2012, at 5:00pm EST.

With Love and Gratitude,
